William Keith (1838 – 1911)

Keith moved to the U.S. from Scotland after 1872. He settled in California, where he became one of San Francisco's leading artists. Keith made many trips to Yosemite. The artist later befriended fellow Scotsman John Muir, who shared Keith's lifelong love of Yosemite.
