Ernest R. Riker started with the Erie Railroad cleaning fires for $1.40 for a 12 hour day in 1900. He retired from the Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, Wyoming Division of the Erie Railroad on August 28, 1952, at age 72, with 52 years of service. Riker is the sixth man from the left.
