This lady’s beaded bag from the beginning of the twentieth
century is representative of the beaded work that was done by
Nez Perce ladies a century ago. A canvas panel with a green
background has a popular floral design and a horse. The remainder
of the bag is made with indigo velvet and is lined with cotton
fabric. The handles are buckskin.
