This basket is made of cedar root bundle coils and cedar bark. The geometric pattern is often referred to as “salmon gill”. This basket is a Klikitat-style design with the lobelled rim. It is entirely imbricated with beargrass and cedar bark. Imbricated weaving is only found in the Northwest among the Columbia Plateau tribes.
