Bow
This bow was a replica made by the Nez Perce warrior Yellow Wolf for his friend, L.V. McWhorter who would later publish Yellow Wolf's autobiography. As the first battle of the 1877 conflict unfolded at White bird on June 17, 1877, the only weapon that Yellow Wolf had was his hunting bow, replicated here. The bow is made from yew wood and the bow string is sinew. Six red stripes with black borders decorate the bow.
