Made by Rose Frank
Basket weaver Rose Frank returned from work at the Portland, Oregon shipyards in World War II. She began learning cornhusk weaving from Ida Blackeagle in 1947. She taught textile arts classes at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. In 1991 Frank received a National Heritage Fellowship Award from the National Endowment for the Arts, and said I felt it was important to keep the tradition going.
