Cornhusk Bag
This bag has a plain twined warp and weft of Indian hemp at the base of bag and then begins with false embroidery of undyed and dyed cornhusk, edged with buckskin. In the bottom of bag there is a false embroidery stitch that measures 4.8 cm that helps identify the maker's work. Ida Blackeagle once said that many weavers would leave identifying markers in their bag a flaw that would stand out in their work, because haniyawáxt (The Creator) was the only one that created perfection.
