Bag
Full turn twining of dyed and undyed corn husk is combined with cotton string warp and commercial hemp weft on the bottom of the bag. The bag is edged with buckskin. On the inside of the passive weft (the weft that is not brought forward but remains on the inside only) it has a horizontal orientation; the active weft that is brought forward to form the design has a vertical orientation. Commercial cotton twine replaced Indian hemp for the warps and wefts as it became widely available.
