Evacuee Identification Card July 5, 1943 Every internee in camp, including Shutaro Matsumura, was issued an identification card by the War Relocation Autority. He was expected to carry it at all times. A military policeman stationed at the south gate of camp would check this card before Shutaro was allowed access to the agricultural areas where he worked, beyond the barbed wire perimeter fence.
