Newspaper Advertisement

Advertisement from the Illinois State Journal featuring an advertisement from the Lincoln-Herndon law office. Lincoln and William Herndon were law partners from 1844-1861 and Lincoln planned to return to the practice after he was president.  After his assassination, Herndon became Lincoln’s first biographer.
