Frank Leslie's Illustrated News Paper
March 9, 1861

After Lincoln was nominated for the presidency, Frank Leslie's Illustrated News Paper sent an artist to draw several rooms in Lincoln's home to help readers learn more about the Lincolns. More recently, the National Park Service used these images for the restoration project to determine what objects had been in the rooms when the Lincolns lived there.
