Frank Waller

This painting depicts seven figures in Arab costume around two camels. Waller was an American who spent the bulk of his career as an architect, turning exclusively to painting only in 1903. He was involved in supporting art training programs in New York City and archeological expeditions to the Near East. He was elected an Honorable Life Fellow of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, where many of his works are still held.
