The “Yogi’s Playground” postcard depicts what is now Joshua Tree’s Black Rock Campground. Built in 1970, the campground featured popular children’s cartoon characters and offered a variety of activities such as horseback riding, tennis, swimming, a playground, and the “Cindy’s Yum Yum Shack” general store. Although the pool and playground are gone, the current campground design and many of the buildings still reflect the Jellystone era.
