Discovering the Desert / Diverse Landscapes

The recently-identified Joshua Tree Poppy (Eschscholzia androuxii) is found only in the desert washes, flats, and slopes with coarse, sandy soil in a narrow range within San Bernardino and Riverside counties. It has a limited range, and a low and threatened population.
This specimen was collected by Stephen Hodges on May 5, 2016.
