Military Patch
 1914-1918
Truman was a member of the Missouri National Guard. He left the Guard but rejoined two years later at the age of 33. He became the First Lieutenant of Battery F, 35 Infantry Division. Later Truman was promoted to captain of Battery D and saw action during World War I.
