One of two surviving greenhouses constructed during the time Eliza Ridgely was enhancing Hampton’s gardens, this greenhouse was constructed in the early 1850s. It contained the heating boiler, potting shed and two small rooms for gardeners. The greenhouses preserved delicate and exotic plants from around world including camellias, a particular favorite of Eliza’s.
