In 1947, Warren purchased T. T. Triumphant, the winner of the prestigious Denver stock show, for the huge amount of $35,000. Soon after that, the cattle industry, including Warren, suffered equally staggering financial losses. The intensive in-breeding that produced the finest Hereford and Angus bulls of that day also produced a gene that resulted in dwarfism.
