This cornflower china was used at Arlington House. According to a Lee descendent, the same pattern was used by Robert E. Lee, Jr. at his home, Romancoke, after the Civil War. Most of the china used at Arlington came from Mount Vernon. However, many pieces were lost during the Civil War and the US Army’s occupation of Arlington House.
