Junegrass (Koeleria macrantha)

It often grows only one to two feet tall but has a dense, silver-green, and attractive seed head. It is one of the earlier blooming native prairie grasses, hence its name "Junegrass." In some northern prairies, it can become one of the dominant grasses. Fascinating Facts Junegrass is often used on "green" roofs. This attractive grass is most often found in high-quality prairies.
