Many Glacier - 2

Glacier National Park

Description

Across Swiftcurrent Lake rises Mt. Wilbur. To the left of the summit you can see the Continental Divide and Swiftcurrent Peak. To the right you can just barely see part of the cirque that contains Iceberg Lake. Iceberg Lake is one of the most popular hikes in the park. It is about 10 miles round trip with an elevation gain of around 1,200 feet. It is one of the easier of the all-day hikes in this valley. Wide open areas afford expansive views as you hike up to the lake. As with all hikes be on the watch for signs of bears. This trail may be closed when you arrive due to bear activity.
