While visiting the White House on a school tour, a little girl meets the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. She encourages him to follow her on her own tour outside so he can learn how the country continued to carry on after his death. Along the way, Lincoln shares some of his favorite jokes and expresses his newfound happiness.
