Waatebagaa-giizis

Description

When fall arrives in the North Woods, we all can experience this. What do you think about as the days get shorter and cooler? Perhaps the colors of the leaves?! In Ojibwe culture, Waatebagaa Giizis is known as the “changing leaves” moon. The word “waatebagaa” refers to their brilliant colors. What a gift to have these trees show us their colors!
