On August 29, The National Park Service, City of Boston, and the Museum of African American History (MAAH) hosted a dedication ceremony for the Middle Passage Port Marker.

Speakers included: Elizabeth Solomon, Massachusett Tribe at Ponkapoag; Michael Creasey, NPB Superintendent; Balla Kouyaté; L'Merchie Frazier, MAAH; Kyera Singleton, The Royall House & Slave Quarters; Dr. Vivian R. Johnson; Hon. Byron Rushing; Lori Nelson, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Boston; & Rev. Nancy Taylor, Old South Church.
