Hello, my name is Peter Kasin, a park ranger at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, bringing you this week's sheltered-in chantey. This one is called So Early in the Morning; sometimes known as The Sailor Loves His Bottle-O or The Sailor Likes His Bottle-O. The Sailor Loves His Bottle-O is the chorus, and we’ll start off with that. This chantey that was sung at the capstan, at the pumps, and at the halyard.
