Ode'imini-giizis

Description

Imagine going through a winter where your food supply is mostly dried from the previous year. As food begins to become available in the forest having something fresh would be amazing. Maybe that’s why the moon for the month of June is called Ode’imini Giizis in Ojibwe. The strawberry is one of the first berries to become available to eat.
