Yavapai Geology Museum

Open daily: 8 am - 7 pm. Yavapai Geology Museum offers one of the best vantage points for an overview of Grand Canyon geology. The building is right on the very edge of the canyon rim at Yavapai Point, The Museum Features: a bookstore and museum shop, large picture windows for viewing the canyon, and a variety of exhibits about the geology of Grand Canyon. Restrooms are in a separate building adjacent to the parking lot. The shuttle bus stop is also on the parking lot.

Jones Hole Trail

A pleasant hike along a babbling brook in the bottom of a lovely canyon. Basically level walking with a few ups and downs. Quite a bit of shade. Trail terminates at the Green River. Approximately 1½ miles down the trail from the fish hatchery are several panels of Fremont petroglyphs and pictographs. After two miles, the Island Park Trail intersects with the Jones Hole trail at Ely Creek. A short walk up Island Park Trail takes you to a small waterfall.
Aliante Parkway Kiosk

This interpretive kiosk is located at N. Aliante Pkwy & W. Moonlight Falls Ave. The kiosk describes the history of scientific research at Tule Springs, safety tips, park regulations, and a map of the monument. This area features relatively flat terrain, creosote desert scrub habitat, and views of the Las Vegas and Sheep ranges.

Laguna Trailhead

The most popular hikes from the Laguna Trailhead will take you down to the coast, but you can also connect to multiple trails that will climb through the forest towards Inverness Ridge. Many of the routes that depart from this trailhead are within the Phillip Burton Wilderness. The trailhead is located near the east end of Laguna Road, approximately 15 minutes by car from the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
