Boston Store Trailhead

The Village of Boston grew up alongside a canal on the east side of the Cuyahoga River and a railroad on the west side of the river. Boston Store Trailhead provides limited mobility parking on the east side. Use it to access the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and refreshments at Boston Store. This small trailhead does not accommodate over-sized vehicles.

St. Francois County Jail Museum

The St. Francois County Jail Museum is located in Historic Downtown Farmington, Missouri, along the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail. It was constructed in 1870 and used as a jail until the early 1990's. The building is now used as a history museum and houses artifacts from the Farmington area, as well as interpreting the history of the trail. Find more information on how to plan a visit.

Here at Fletchers Cove, you can picnic, fish, boat, and ride your bike. You can also visit the Fletcher's Boathouse concession stand or just sit and enjoy the scenery. You can also purchase your DC fishing license. This is a popular stop for hikers and bikers on the C&O Canal, or on the Capital Crescent Trail.

Moonlight Falls Ave. The kiosk describes the history of scientific research at Tule Springs, safety tips, park regulations, and a map of the monument. This area features relatively flat terrain, creosote desert scrub habitat, and views of the Las Vegas and Sheep ranges.

The Coast trailhead is a popular place to start an easy hike, bike, or horseback ride to the beach. It meanders through creek-side habitat before going by wetlands as you approach the ocean. The trailhead is located along Laguna Road, approximately 15 minutes by car from the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
