Commercial Use Authorization

 

What is a Commercial Use Authorization?

A commercial use authorization (CUA) allows an individual, group, company, or other for-profit entity to conduct commercial activities and provide specific visitor services within a national park unit.

Mammoth Cave National Park currently issues CUAs for guided canoe and kayak livery, bike livery, guided horseback riding, and guided bike tour services.

 

CUA Application Process

Processing time for CUA permits can take four or more weeks depending on the time of year and applications for new services can take longer to review.

To apply for a CUA, please contact the Concessions Specialist to have the latest CUA application sent to you. Please indicate what service you are applying for in your email.

You will need to submit a completed application form and all required supporting documents and fees as outlined in Attachments A and B of the Application.

Special Use Permits

Mammoth Cave National is a popular place for weddings and special events. Most special events and activities held in the park require a Special Use Permit issued only after the National Park Service (NPS) determines that the activity will not cause derogation of the park's resources or values, visitor experiences, or the purpose for which the park was established. Filming and Photography Permits

Filming/Photography Permits are issued for photography, filming, and associated sound recording when they involve props, models, professional crews, and casts or set dressings.

Permits are issued to ensure the protection of resources and to prevent significant disruption of normal visitor uses.
