New York represents the northern most portions of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. There are 18 counties in the southern portion of the state encompassing the headwaters of the Susquehanna River and including places like the village of Cooperstown. From state parks offering incredible hiking, camping, and paddling opportunities to historic sites and museums, there are numerous ways to have an authentic Chesapeake experience in New York!
