Memorial Visitor Center

The Memorial Visitor Center is a good place to begin your visit, pick up park information, map, and trail guides. Watch the 15-minute interpretive film, Forging Greatness - Lincoln in Indiana, which tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's youth. The film is shown upon request to 30 minutes before closing. The program is open-captioned. The Memorial Visitor Center also contains two Memorial Halls and the park museum which contains artifacts and exhibits that portray the life of Abraham Lincoln. Learn about his family, boyhood, and frontier life in Indiana.

Living Historical Farm

The Living Historical Farm is a working pioneer homestead with a log cabin, outbuildings, split rail fences, livestock, gardens and crop fields. Rangers dressed in period clothing perform a variety of activities typical of daily life in the 1820s. The farm is staffed seasonally generally from mid-April through September. Visitors are invited to visit and browse around the farm site throughout the year.
