The Memorial Visitor Center is a good place to begin your visit, pick up park information, map, and trail guides. Watch the 15-minute interpretive film, Forging Greatness - Lincoln in Indiana, which tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's youth. The film is shown upon request to 30 minutes before closing. The program is open-captioned. The Memorial Visitor Center also contains two Memorial Halls and the park museum which contains artifacts and exhibits that portray the life of Abraham Lincoln. The Memorial Visitor Center, completed in 1943, was designed with two memorial halls and a connecting cloister. The Memorial Court features five sculptured panels, the work or E.H. Daniels, marking significant periods in the life of Abraham Lincoln. Museum artifacts and exhibits portray the life of Abraham Lincoln. Learn about his family, boyhood, and frontier life in Indiana.

From Interstate 64, exit on US 231, (exit 57A). Travel south on US 231 to Indiana Highway 162 (about 6 miles). Take the Santa Claus/Gentryville exit. Turn west (right) on Indiana Highway 162; go 1-1/2 miles to the park entrance on the right.

The cloister is a long hallway which connects the two Memorial Halls. The cloister has a brick floor, stone and wood walls. Park bookstore is located in the cloister. Facilities located off the cloister: restrooms, auditorium, information desk, museum. NPS

Living Historical Farm
The Living Historical Farm is a working pioneer homestead with a log cabin, outbuildings, split rail fences, livestock, gardens and crop fields. Rangers dressed in period clothing perform a variety of activities typical of daily life in the 1820s. The farm is staffed seasonally generally from mid-April through September. Visitors are invited to visit and browse around the farm site throughout the year.
