In late spring and summer, melting snow reveals Lassen's park trails. This process is slow, variable, and as timeless as the park itself. Keep scrolling for our best updated information about Lassen trails, from old favorites to new adventures.

Notes on Trail Conditions

  • Trail conditions are updated when information is available, either through park staff or visitor reports. Updated information may be delayed or changed by varying weather and staff capabilities. When snow is mostly gone from the trails, we stop regular updates and only add significant changes to trail conditions or status.
  • Have a trail conditions update for us? Please e-mail us!
  • Trail status only applies to the trail itself. Other factors, including parkwide closures, road closures, and inclement weather may affect your ability to access or utilize trails. Please make yourself aware of any current alerts on our Current Conditions page.
