Junior Ranger Adventure Guide

The Adventure Guide is best suited for ages 4 to 12. Learn more about your park, glaciers, and wildlife by working on these activities. After completing the required activities, turn it in to a park ranger, and earn your Junior Ranger Badge. Doing the required pages will take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.

The Junior Ranger Adventure Guide is available at any park visitor center. You can also download a PDF version and mail your completed book in to receive your badge. See details below!

 

Explorer Journal PDF

Explorer Journal

Take a journey of reflection and exploration as you immerse yourself in what makes Kenai Fjords special. The Explorer Journal is best suited for ages 13 and up. After completing the required activities, show it to a park ranger, and earn your Explorer Badge. Completing the journal for a badge will take approximately 1 to 2 hours.

The Explorer Journal is also available on your mobile device. The app allows you to dig a little deeper into your visit as you explore the park and reflect on this amazing place. The app is available for iOS.

You can also pick up a journal at any park visitor center, from any ranger you see while visiting the park, or on your boat tour into the park.

 

Earn Your Badge by Mail
Exploring from home? If you printed a copy from home or maybe didn't quite finish during your visit you can mail us your completed work. A ranger will review your finished Junior Ranger Adventure Guide or Explorer Journal and send you back a badge in the mail. Just make sure to include a return address!
