Pleasant Valley Zone

Camping is only allowed in the green-shaded area of the Pleasant Valley Zone.

The Pleasant Valley Zone occupies part of the transition zone between the Mojave and Colorado Deserts. While Pleasant Valley itself is generally open and flat, the southern half of this zone contains the little San Bernardino Mountains and Pushwalla Peak, rising to over 5000’ in elevation. Points of interest include Hexahedron Mine and Fried Liver Wash. Elevations range from 3,000 - 5,000+ feet.

Trails: There are no maintained trails in this zone.

Bordering Zones: Hexie Mountains, Twin Tanks, and Lost Horse.

Closest Backcountry Trailheads to Enter/Exit: Pleasant Valley (3280’) and Turkey Flats (1791’). If accessing Pleasant Valley on Geology Tour Road, a high clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
