Park Publications

The park produces two main publications every year; a seasonal newspaper called The Guide and a glossy map.

Information from The Guide is available digitally.

The glossy map is available in a variety of formats online, including audio description and text based.

Park Programs

If you would like to attend a park ranger program and need a tactile interpreter, please contact the park at least three weeks ahead of time at 760-367-5502. Assistive listening devices are available for any program by request with 1-3 days advanced notice. Rangers will do their best to adapt their program to be inclusive. If accommodation is not possible, staff can recommend an alternate experience. A list of current ranger-led programs is listed on our Calendar page.

Self Guided Tours

The park is in the planning stages for descriptive audio for all video and media. Also, the National Park Service is currently developing an app that will enable parks to provide descriptive audio throughout the entire park landscape, exhibits and features.

Videos

Currently, park stores sell three videos. They all have audio description and are educational. Only "America's National Parks" has captioning.
