We cover the establishment and growth of the city of New Orleans. We talk about the many cultural aspects of New Orleans that allowed jazz music to develop. We examine the lasting influence these cultures and this music had on the world and modern New Orleanian culture. Ranger Talks take place most days at 11AM, please see our calendar.Musical ProgrammingOur programs are not simply concerts. The New Orleans Jazz National Historical features worlld class musicians in an intimate setting. We encourage informal and informational programming. Our performers talk with the audience. They not only cover musical history, but also topics more personal. Musicians tell their stories, influences, and field questions.Performance OpportunityWould your jazz band like a chance to perform in the Big Easy? We have numerous venue and performance options available. We work with you on a case to case basis. We do everything we can to make the performance memorable.
