Keweenaw Waterway Cruise

 

For over 60 years, the RANGER III has sailed the waters of Lake Superior, transporting passengers, rangers, and supplies from Houghton, Michigan to Isle Royale.

Enjoy a relaxing three hour cruise down the Keweenaw Waterway aboard the Ranger III. Cruises take place on scheduled Thursdays in the summer. Cruises fill to capacity. Reservations are required.

How to Make Reservations

• Reservations begin mid-June for the summer cruises.
• Call 906-482-0984 or visit the Houghton Visitor Center.
• There is no waiting list.

Basic Information

• Carry-on non-alcoholic beverages and snacks permitted.
• Sails rain or shine.
• All ages welcome.
• Light jacket recommended.

Departure Location

All Keweenaw Waterway Cruises depart from the Houghton Visitor Center and Ranger III dock in Houghton, MI.

This is a 3-hour cruise to the south entry of the Keweenaw Wateway into Keweenaw Bay and then returning to Houghton.

• There are two cruises, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon

• Adults (16 and up): $36
• Children (1-15): $18
• Infants (under 1): Free
