Many Southeast Coast Network parks experienced rare winter snowfall during the winter of 2017-2018.

The Southeast Coast Network does not monitor climate at the network or park level. However, many aspects of the network's climate are collected and analyzed at the national level, and by other government agencies. In 2016 the network partnered with the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative to create a climate analyzer website. The website is provided by the network to assist park management with climate information needs and climate data summaries.
