Homestead National Historical Park is a great place to conduct research! The park is home to the Nation's Second Oldest Restored Tallgrass Prairie, lowland burr oak forest and over one mile of Cub Creek.

The Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network takes inventory of the species and natural features in its parks including Homestead, and then monitors them over time to see how they're doing.

Research Permits

If you would like to conduct research at Homestead NHP you will be required to fill out a permit. The permitting system must be filled out on-line.
