Whether your looking for a leaisure stroll or a energizing hike, Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site is a place of exploration, recreation and fun! Bring the family and hit the trail. Each trail is marked by a blaze. Below is a table of distances of total trail in miles.

French Creek State Park surrounding Hopewell Furnance National Histoic Site. French Creek is managed by Pennsylvania, but their trails come and go through Hopewell Furnace. Visit their website to to download thier map and learn the rules and regulations for visting French Creek.

Bicycles, motorized bicyles, and motorized vehicles are not permited in teh village. If you bike in from french creek, please walk you bike though the village.

Watch Wildlife: Enjoy bird watching, deer watching or looking for some of the more reclusive animal species that reside in the park.

Bird Watching: As many as 120 types of birds visit or call Hopewell Furnace home. This is due to a variety of valuable habitats. From the dense woodlands of Hopewell Big Woods, to open pastures and meadows, and from Baptism Creek to French Creek.
