An NPS photo The Education Office of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park offered me the opportunity to be part of a team of dedicated individuals. My goals for the summer leaned more towards my hope of becoming a high school history teacher. I wanted to be part of an experiential learning program and also be able to have open space to create and brain-storm so as to always make things better. The Education Office offered me the opportunity to refine my knowledge of people, my knowledge of the experiential classroom, but also the chance to get to know myself a little better. It not only allowed me to check my goals off one by one, but, in the end, allowed me to create and aspire to much larger goals to be achieved in my future. |
