The Frijole Horse Corral Group Campsite is the only facility for horse users on the east side of the park. The visitor horse corrals and campsites may be reserved up to six months in advance of the visit. This camping area is immediately adjacent Highway 62/180 on the Frijole Ranch access road. Due to proximity to both the highway and the access road, this site has little privacy and is subject to road noise.

The Frijole Horse Corral has a capacity of 10 animals.

Group Camping Fee

Group site occupancy is limited to a minimum of 5 persons and a maximum of 10 persons per site. Vehicles parked here cannot block traffic. Fee includes use of the adjacent horse corral at this site

Additional Information & Regulations

Regulations

- Camping is permitted in designated campsites only.
- Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights within a 30-day period and not more than 60 total nights per calendar year anywhere within the park.
- At all park campgrounds, where tent pads are provided, all tents and/or camping shelters must be erected on the tent pads.
- The use of hammocks, slacklines, tarps or similar devices tied to natural and/or manmade features is prohibited.
- Only cooking stoves are permitted; charcoal, wood fires, and propane firepits are prohibited.
- Quiet hours in all the park’s developed campgrounds are from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time.
