[Richmond Enquirer, September 25, 1832:] [themes: health; transportation] NOTICE.—I offer for sale the property which I hold at Louisa Court-House…. on the main road leading from Richmond, north and north-west; about 50 miles from Richmond, and on the stage road now called the Louisa and Orange line, and is in the direction to Charlottesville, distant from that place on the present road 32 miles; but the more direct route is by the Green springs, the waters of which were formerly much resorted to, and held in high repute.—They, however, are the property of Dr. James M. Morris, and not now resorted to as a public watering-place. … Sept. 4 [, 1832]. {34—tf} JNO. M. PRICE |
