Invasive Plant Removal

Two men inspect a plant in the woods.

NPS

Greenbelt Park is removing invasive, non-native plants before they can take over and destroy the native plants. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, Greenbelt Park is preserving the park for future generations.

Our volunteer leader will teach and show the invasive plants to be removed. It is not a difficult or dangerous task, but we need many hands to do the work.

Please bring insect and/or tick repellent in the spring and summer.

To inquire about volunteering, email us or call (202) 437-7518. See current volunteer opportunities. Large groups, please call ahead at 771-208-1588.
