An Annual Tradition

Get ready for the Winter Steam Festival, happening December 28th, 29th, and 30th! Visitors from near and far gather to experience the thrilling spectacle of a fully operational 1860s-era steam locomotive, filling the crisp winter air with steam and the nostalgic sounds of its bells and whistles.

This year’s festival will feature the iconic Union Pacific Locomotive No. 119, running throughout the day along the historic transcontinental railroad grade. Step back in time to experience the sights, sounds, and power of this Victorian-era marvel up close.

Family-friendly fun includes cab tours, handcar rides, and exciting Junior Ranger activities—perfect for all ages to enjoy!

Daily Festival Locomotive Steam Demonstrations:

10:00 a.m.           No.119 Locomotive Arrives 

11:30 a.m.           Locomotive Demonstration Run 

1:00 p.m.             Locomotive Demonstration Run 

3:00 p.m.             Locomotive Demonstration Run  

4:30 p.m.             No.119 Locomotive Departs
