As George Washington Birthplace is located off the Potomac River, the park experiences all four distinct seasons.

In the summer, temperatures range from the 70s to the high 90s and low100s with high humidity, with the most typical conditions in the low 90s with frequent thunder storms.

Winters vary from mild and rainy to snow and ice. Temperatures range from the 10s to the 50s, although themost typical conditions ranging in the low-to-mid 40s.

Spring and fall seasons are typically pleasant with temperaturs in the spring ranging from the high 50s to the low 70s and in the fall temperatures ranging from the low 50s to the low 80s.

You should always plan on bringing appropriate clothing items depending on the season.
