Little Round Top Trail Map

Welcome to the NEW Little Round Top!

We are excited to welcome you back to Little Round Top! Please use the map below to plan ahead for your next visit to this iconic battlefield location.

Visitors who are able to walk or hike are now encouraged to park on South Confederate and Sedgwick Avenues (please keep all wheels of your vehicle on the road) to best utilize multiple new trailheads on the north, south, and west slopes of Little Round Top. These new formalized trails have replaced many of the old social trails where extreme erosion occurred in the many years leading up the 2022-2024 rehabilitation project. These new trails now beckon visitors to explore all areas of the hill rather than simply concentrating on the summit.

When visitors plan ahead to park in these satelite areas, greater opportunities to better immerse yourself in the many iconic features of the hill will appear around every corner! Due to a lack of formal trails in previous years, you may see monuments and areas of the hill that are brand new to you. We encourage everyone who is able to now use this trail system to see every monument, flank marker, and historic plaque along the way.

If visitors are able to walk and hike these trails, that provides better parking opportunities for those with mobility challenges to find parking at the summit. The summit parking area now includes four accessible parking spaces that are immediately next to the accessible concrete sidewalk ramp that leads all the way up to the summit! This new system of accessible concrete sidewalks provides new opportunities for all visitors to experience Little Round Top from the summit, down to the 44th New York monument, then safely across Sykes Avenue via a new crosswalk, down the hill towards the 20th Maine monument.

We hope you enjoy your next visit to Little Round Top!
