Battlefield Ambassador

A large crowd gathers outside a small white historic house. On the porch stands a man that the crowd of people is listening to. To the right of the crowd is a white picket fence and to the right is a tall bare tree.
From spring through fall, interested volunteers may be trained to become Battlefield Ambassadors in order to help visitors better understand some of the structures that stood during the battle.

Gettysburg National Military Park is home to many structures that stood during the Battle of Gettysburg. Several of these structures are open from spring through fall and our volunteers help share the stories of the families that lived there during the battle. Volunteers will be trained, and resource materials will be provided to help them prepare for their shifts at these various structures.

Please visit our Current Volunteer Opportunities page to see how you can get involved.
