Fort Larned National Historic Site is located along Kansas Highway 156, a two-lane highway with a narrow shoulder. There are no bike paths within Fort Larned National Historic Site. There are currently no bike racks available. Please help protect the historic buildings at Fort Larned by using your bike's kickstand, or leaning it against the wooden columns. Please do not lean bikes against the buildings. If you plan to bike to the Santa Fe Trail ruts area of the park, plan for about 5.5 miles one way of gravel roads. Inquire at the visitor center for road conditions or to obtain a map to the site.
