Major,

I have the honor to request that a board of investigation be convened to investigate the burning of “A” Company 10th Cav stables together with (39) thirty nine horses, all my horse equipment a large amount of ordnance Stores, Quartermaster’s property, clothing, Camp and Garrison equipage and (10) ten days forage for (60) sixty horses. All of which was destroyed about 6 ½ or 7 o’clock A.M. this morning by fire, from causes unknown.
