The family tent campground at Watch Hill, and the marinas at Watch Hill and Sailors Haven are open from mid-May to mid-October. These facilities are operated by a National Park Service concessioner, Love Watch Hill and Sailors Haven, Inc. Both locations are accessible only by ferry, water taxi, or private boat.
Backcountry wilderness camping is also an option. Reservations and a fee are required. Visit www.recreation.gov for more information.
There are also opportunities for overnight stays at Smith Point County Park, several bay side marinas, and numerous summer rentals and small hotels within some of the seventeen communities on Fire Island.
